John Ford

John Ford, originally from Philadelphia, PA, has a BM in Oboe performance from ORU, and has been a professional guitar player and instructor for several years.  He also traveled on the road for two years with Darrell Evans, one of Christian music’s biggest selling Artist, to over 40 states and 13 countries as lead guitarist.

John has played in the Signature Symphony for 5 years–both oboe and guitar, and has also performed with the Fort Smith Symphony, Northern Arkansas Symphony, and the Tulsa Philharmonic. He also teaches privately (guitar and oboe) to many students each year, and is an adjunct faculty member at Tulsa Community College.

John also plays professionally with several local bands including the Barracudas, OPP, Cody McCombs, Grady Nichols, and Jenny Labow, and has also played with Peter Cetera, and opened for National acts Foreigner and Liz Phair.  John is also working on a new recording and engineering production business.
